Marco Bezzecki Reveals Cause Of Failure To Win The Austrian MotoGP

JAKARTA - Aprilia driver Marco Bezzecchi admits he had a 'small problem' on his RS-GP motorbike when he finished third in the Austrian MotoGP 2025 at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Spielberg, Sunday.

Bezzecchi led the first 19 laps of the race ahead of Marquez, but took second place, then third after failing to compete with Marquez and Aldeguer.

"I have to admit, fighting with them is always fun," Bezzecchi said, pole position winner, as quoted by Crash on Monday.

"Unfortunately, in the middle of the race I had a small problem with the bike and I had to reduce the speed a little bit," he added.

The Italian was defeated by Marquez on lap 20 after a previous lap put up a fight.

The next four laps, Bezzecchi lost their position again after being overtaken by the Ducati rider, this time Aldeguer from Gresini.

"To be honest, it's not a big deal, but I lost a bit of concentration as soon as the incident happened," Bezzecki said.

"I made a small mistake, I did a corner with one tooth (too high), and I immediately lost a few tenths of a second," he added.

"I try to calm down again, but when Marc is behind, it's hard to stay relaxed," he continued.

The second Podium in the Red Bull Ring keeps Bezzecki in fourth place in the standings with 178 points. The 14th MotoGP series this season will continue this weekend at the Balaton Park Circuit, Hungary.
