Newly Launched XC70 Volvo From Production Line, Starting From Pre-Sales At The End Of August 2025

JAKARTA - The Chengdu car exhibition which took place on August 27 is a place for Volvo to open the latest XC70 model pre-sales, even the model has launched from production lines at the Taizhou plant, China.

Citing from the Carnewschina page, Monday, August 18, the model is positioned as a luxury SUV segment D, the new XC70 is in between the 60 and 90 Volvo series SUVs and is built on the SMA Hybrid Super Architecture.

Designally Volvo XC70 adopts a closed front facility of Volvo's new energy family, which resembles the EX90 that was launched earlier. There is a daytime running headlights positioned above the main light.

In terms of dimensions, this Volvo C70 has a length of 4815 mm, a width of 1890 mm, and a height of 1650 mm, with a wheelbase of 2895 mm.

Turning to the side, XC70 is equipped with closed wheels and flat door handles, which are expected to contribute to aerodynamic performance and low barrier coefficients.

On the back, the classic Volvo 'Vicking Ax' back light is back. A vertical light strip combined with a C-shaped backlight is designed to provide clear visibility.

Based on the latest information, Volvo XC70 was built based on the SMA Super Hybrid Architecture (Scalable Modular Architecture), with a pure electric range estimated to exceed 200 km. The car offers a combined range of 1,200 kilometers based on WLTC counts.

The latest XC70 super hybrid system consists of a 1.5T hybrid plug in engine, three P1+P2+P4 electric motors, and acceleration DHT 3 transmission. The price is estimated to touch 360,000 yuan or around Rp. 811 Million.
