Indonesian men's U-15 basketball won the Starlight International Youth Basketball Open (SIYBO) 2025 in Singapore, Sunday, to coincide with the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
The tournament, which was held at Bukit Canberra ActiveSG Sport Hall on August 15-17, which was won by Garuda Muda, was achieved with an extraordinary match record because it managed to wipe out all matches, from the preliminary round to the final.

"This is a proud achievement because the U-15 national team won unbeaten and coincided with the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia," said Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Basketball Association (DPP Perbasi) Budisatrio Djiwandono in Jakarta, Sunday.
In the preliminary Group A, Indonesia beat GXEZ China 76-21, ABA Singapore 61-17, and the Singapore Grass 51-38 to leave as the group's first rank.
During the semifinals, Hoei Maechel's team continued their dominance by defeating Adroit Singapore 67-32, so that they managed to advance to the top match.
Without significant difficulties, Indonesia then confirmed the title after defeating the Titans 57-45 in the final match.
Secretary-General of the Perbasi DPP, Nirmala Dewi, said that this success was proof that the coaching route taken by the federation was on the right path and direction.
"Congratulations to the U-15 national team, this achievement is proof that Indonesia's basketball development is running well," he said.
The person in charge of Rony Gunawan's team revealed that the team only practiced on August 11 aka four days before the tournament started.
Therefore, the success of winning the international tournament is very proud. In addition, his achievements were achieved during the celebration of independence day.
Head coach Hoei Maechel added that the key to the team's success is the player's commitment to perform optimally in every match.
"We always emphasize that children must issue 100 percent capacity, both facing strong and weak opponents, and discipline in defense is also an important factor," he said.
