Congratulations, Astra Honda Racers Donate Three Podiums During The 80th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - Racers assisted by Astra Honda Motor (AHM) managed to fly the Red and White in various national and international racing championships on Sunday, coinciding with the moment of commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, with podiums in three racing events.

Based on information reported by Antara, the young Astra Honda Racing Team (AHRT) racer presented a special gift of independence with a row of achievements at the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup (RBRC) in the Austrian series, Mandalika Racing Series (MRS), and the Motocross National Championship (Kejurnas) in Wonosobo, Central Java.

At the Austrian Red Bull Rookies Cup, Veda Ega Pratama recorded two second podiums in the race which was held on August 16 and 17, 2025. In the first race, Veda took the lead from the start but had to settle for finishing second after being overtaken in the last two corners.

The second race was more challenging with low temperatures in the morning, but Veda again appeared consistent in the front group and secured the second position only 0.087 seconds adrift of the winner. The Red and White Flag also flew on the Austrian podium as a symbol of the achievements of the nation's children.

His colleague, M. Kiandra Ramadhipa, finished fourth in the first and 12th races in the second race. The race was quite difficult because it was held in the morning with low temperatures. But I am happy to be able to present the podium on Indonesia's independence day," said Veda, who is a racer from Gunung Kidul, DI Yogyakarta.

Meanwhile at the Mandalika Racing Series (MRS), Herjun Atna Firdaus successfully won her first National Sport 600cc win on a CBR600RR motorcycle.

This Pati racer appeared aggressive from the start to overtake on the final lap to ensure victory in the second race. In the first race, he finished third behind his teammate M. Adenanta Putra who took second place. Unfortunately, Adenanta was unable to take part in the second race due to an accident during the superpole session.

"Alhamdulillah, in a tight fight until the final lap I was able to win. This is a special victory for me because it coincides with August 17," said Herjun.

In the 250cc class, Davino Britani scored his first point after finishing 10th in the first and 11th races in the second race.

No less proud, Arsenio Alghifari dominated the fourth Motocross Championship in Wonosobo with the first double podium in the MX2 class. Despite starting from sixth place, Arsenio appeared consistent and focused on winning in two races using a CRF250R motorcycle.

"Winning two wins at once on this independence day was a big motivation for me to continue to appear faster in the next series," said Arsenio.

General Manager Marketing Planning and Analysis AHMAndy Wijay expressed his appreciation for the struggle of all AHM-assisted racers on track.

According to him, the spirit of independence is an additional impetus for young Indonesian racers to perform optimally in national and international events.
