Kiss Will Receive This Year's Kennedy Center Award From President Donald Trump

JAKARTA - Kiss was lined up as one of the recipients of this year's Kennedy Center Award. The rock band, known for its white mask, will be side by side with Gloria Gaynor, George Strait, Michael Crawford, and Sylvester Stallone.

Kiss original personnel Paul Stanley (vocals, guitar), Gene Simmons (vocals, bass), Ace Frehley (guitar), and Peter Criss (drums) "expressed gratitude after being awarded the highest award from the institution by President Donald Trump.

"Kiss is the embodiment of America's dream. We are honored to receive the Kennedy Center Award," Simmons said, citing TMZ, Sunday, August 17.

Then, Stanley added, " Kiss on his musical journey has realized America's goal that anything is possible and hard work will come to fruition."

The "Pression of the Kennedy Center Award cannot be exaggerated and I accept this on behalf of Kiss's long legacy and all the band members who have helped create our iconic band," Stanley said.

Meanwhile, Frehley reflected on her simple young life in lifts, New York. He was honored and grateful to be among the other award recipients.

"This award is a dream come true" that I never thought would come true, Frehley said.

"I feel very blessed. This is the greatest honor of our career," said Criss.

President Trump announced that the recipients of the Kennedy Center Award also praised Kiss as one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

For information, the top event of the Kennedy Center Award will be held on December 7th.
