BLACKPINK Performs Wannabe Song From Spice Girls When Appearing At Wembley Stadium

JAKARTA - BLACKPINK has again become a topic of conversation on social media after completing two shows for Deadline World Tour at Wembley Stadium, London, England on August 15 and 16.

On the second day of appearance, the sensational K-pop group consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, made a surprise by performing a cover of the song Wannabe' from Spice Girls.

"OMG The Pinks brought Wannabe from Spice Girls on encore," wrote one fan on X, including a video showing the big screen highlighting the members.

The Pinks love their fellow senior girl groups very much," commented another X account.

Despite the surprise, BLACKPINK's love for Spice Girls is nothing new. While a guest at James Corden's popular Carpool Karaoke show, Jennie once talked about how the members really liked the British girl group who was so popular in the 1990s.

BLACKPINK members also sang 'Spice Girls' with Corden in the car that was running. They seem to know all the lyrics of the song and enjoy it so much.

In a performance at Wembley, BLACKPINK certainly performed their hits, such as 'Kill This Love', How You Like That, Playing With Fire, Lovesick Girls, BOOMBAYAH, DU-DU-DU-DU, and As If Its Your Last.

Their comeback song after two years, 'Jump', was also shown in front of tens of thousands of people who met Wembley.

Similar to the previous Deadline World Tour series, the members also performed their solo songs.

After London, BLACKPINK will continue the Deadline World Tour to the Asian continent. They will also hold two performances at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta on November 1 and 2.
