Setya Novanto Is Conditional Free, Sentenced To 15 Years In Prison In 2018

JAKARTA - Minister Imipas Agus Andrianto explained the basis for the parole of former DPR Speaker Setya Novanto (Setnov) from Sukamiskin Prison, West Java, last August 16.

Agus emphasized that Setnov was not obliged to report after leaving the correctional facility. Because, Setnov has paid a subsidiary fine.

Setnov has also qualified for parole, even since July 25, 2025.

It is known that Setnov was released from condition after the Judicial Review (PK) decision which was granted by the Supreme Court (MA) Setnov's sentence was corrected from 15 years to 12.5 years in prison.
