Ministry Of Education And Culture Holds RI's 80th Anniversary Ceremony, Collaboration Of Three Ministries Becomes A Highlight
JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 80th Indonesian Independence Day, three ministries, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, as well as the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology jointly held a flag-raising ceremony in the courtyard of the ministry's office. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, was present on the occasion.
Fadli emphasized that holding this cross-ministerial ceremony was an important milestone in inter-field collaboration in order to build a stronger Indonesia. This ceremony is a momentum to commemorate the services of heroes as well as strengthen our commitment to maintaining unity and diversity, and foster the spirit of building an advanced Indonesia," he said.
Acting as Ceremony Trustees, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti, emphasized that flag ceremonies are not just ceremonial events, but a form of love for the homeland.
The young generation must support the spirit of patriotism, maintain cultural identity, love nature, and foster affection for others. All of these are the foundations of an independent human civilization," he said.
On this occasion, the raising of the flag was led by Noak Azi, an outstanding student from Central Papua. Meanwhile, Paskibraka, who is in charge of being the recipient of the Secondary Education Affirmation (ADEM) scholarship program, includes the categories of Papuan ADEM, 3T Regional ADEM, and ADEM Repatriation for migrant workers.

In addition, it was also read out by the President's Decree on the awarding of the Satya Lencana Karya Satya Honorary Sign which was given directly by the Minister of Culture to six outstanding officials within the ministry. Fadli expressed his appreciation for their dedication to support the promotion of national culture.
Nuansa culture also colored the course of the ceremony through a number of musical performances. The song Merdeka by Husein Mutahar and Bender created by Eross Candra was performed by the SMK SMK TI Muhammadiyah Cikampek Orchestra. Meanwhile, a special performance was given by Prince Poetray and Quinn Salman, as well as Piche Kota, Indonesian Idol Season 13 contestants, who presented regional songs and the work of Indonesian musicians.
The event was also attended by Deputy Minister of Culture Giring Ganesha, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto, as well as deputy ministers and officials from three related ministries.
The ceremony which was held this time was not only a symbol of respect for the nation's struggle, but also a reminder that diversity must always be cared for in the spirit of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Through this commemoration, it is hoped that the love of the homeland will grow again and that the joint determination to realize a sustainable Golden Indonesia.
