Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Safe Fuel Supply In Manggarai NTT

JAKARTA - Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that the distribution of fuel oil (BBM) in the Manggarai and West Manggarai areas remains safe, even though it was disrupted due to extreme weather in recent weeks. The supply of fuel to gas stations is now confirmed to flow 24 hours.

Area Manager Communication, Relations & CSR Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, Sunday Rahedi explained that mitigation measures have been carried out by adding supply points.

Apart from the Maumere Fuel Terminal, continued Sunday, the distribution is now also reinforced by supplies from the Ende Fuel Terminal, while the normal supply remains through the Reo Fuel Terminal.

The FUel Terminal operates 24 hours to ensure supplies in Manggarai and its surroundings are safe. We put forward the priority of shipping to gas stations and charging for vehicles, while non-vehicle charging is limited to avoid speculators," said Sunday, Sunday, August 17.

Sunday said the delay in tankers due to extreme weather was the main cause of the delay in distribution. This condition is exacerbated by panic buying in the community which triggers the role of speculators in retrading fuel.

As a follow-up, Pertamina coordinates with local governments and local officials to regulate the purchase pattern so that queues can be decomposed.

"Further mitigation will be carried out to make purchase arrangements to break down the queues that will be coordinated with the local Regional Government and APH," he said.

Sunday revealed that the latest tankers have also carried out loading and unloading so that the stock is expected to return to normal this week.

"With the addition of supply and support for two points of distribution transfer, we are optimistic that the community's needs can be met. Hopefully the weather will improve soon so that distribution will run smoothly again," said Sunday.

Pertamina also appealed to the public to buy fuel wisely according to their needs at gas stations. Sunday said the company also expressed its gratitude for the understanding of the community in the midst of conditions triggered by extreme weather factors.

Pertamina expressed her gratitude for the understanding and patience of the community for the events caused by extreme weather constraints. The community is expected to continue to buy fuel wisely according to the needs of the gas station," he said.
