JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the absence of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri at the RI's 80th Anniversary Ceremony which took place at the Merdeka Palace, Sunday, August 17.

The reason is that Megawati has a routine agenda of leading a special ceremony at the PDI-P DPP every August 17. Prasetyo confirmed the presence of the previous president such as the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
