The very rare Ferrari SP3 'Tailor Made' was sold today, Sunday 17 August, at an extraordinary price of 26 million US dollars, equivalent to Rp421 billion, at RM Sotheby's auction in Monterey, California, United States. This fantastic figure makes this car one of the most expensive in the history of modern car auctions.

This auction is in the main spotlight because the car offered is not an ordinary unit. With the unique serial number 599+1, this SP3 is a new special addition car for 599 units that have been sold out to Ferrari VIP clients. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to The Ferrari Foundation to support educational initiatives.

Unique Features That Never Existed

Referring to the info on the RM Sotheby's page, this SP3 chip was specially designed by the Ferrari Tailor Made customization program. The car comes with a blending of bright Modena Giallo colors and open carbon fiber materials. Most interestingly, for the first time in the history of Ferrari's street car, the classic "Ferrari" logo stretches completely from the front to the back of the body.

On the interior, innovation continues with the use of revolutionary Q-Cycle materials, cloth made from recycled tires. Other details such as the chess flag motif of the carbon fiber Formula 1 in the yellow Prancing Horse instrument and seam panel on the back of the head further confirming its status as a masterpiece.

Monster Performance Without Hybrid Assistance

SP3 is powered by a V12 6.5 liter naturally assisted engine installed in the middle, producing up to 829 hp of power without the help of a hybrid system. With a dual-clutch seven acceleration transmission, this car can shoot up from 0-100 km/hour in just 2.85 seconds.
