Google Doodle Presents Path Pacu Illustration To Commemorate RI's 80th Anniversary
JAKARTA - If you see something different from today's Google logo, that's because Google Doodle is commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, by presenting an illustration that was going viral some time ago, namely Pacu Line.
On its official page, Google mentioned that today's doodle was illustrated by guest artist from Bandung, Wastana Haikal, by presenting one person who was aura farming dancing at the bow of the boat.
Pacu track is a traditional Indonesian boat racing festival originating from Riau. Pacu lanes are usually made of one tree trunk, made without cutting, division, or connection.
The process is long and sacred to respect the spirit of the tree, and is marked by a big ceremony after completion. Each boat can accommodate 50 to 60 crew members who row or maintain balance for their team.
Then at the front, there is a helmsman to drive and a dancer, who adjusts the rhythm of each rower sometimes wearing cool sunglasses.

This Google Doodle track doesn't seem to be the first to be displayed by Google.
Because if you look back, the same doodle has also been released on August 17 in 2022.
The presence of this year's track doodle may have been due to the tradition going viral again after a video featuring a child named Rayyan Arkan Dikha dancing on the front of the boat to set the rhythm for the competing track runway team.
