Five Fishing Boats Burned At Muara Baru Port

JAKARTA - A fire broke out at Muara Baru Port, North Jakarta, this morning. Five fishing boats were burned down.

"The object caught fire by 5 fishing boats," said Head of Gulkarmat Jakut, Gatot Sulaeman, Saturday, August 16.

The five ships that caught fire included KM Starindo Jaya, two vessels that were not yet operational, ships made of sea, and one repair ship.

Regarding the chronology or cause of the fire, Gatot could not confirm it. However, in an effort to extinguish the fire, dozens of personnel were deployed.

The blackout process was carried out from 07.55 WIB until it ended at 11.10 WIB.

"The deployment of fire vehicle units is 16 units and 90 personnel," he said.

So far, there have been no casualties. However, for the nominal loss due to the fire, Gatot could not confirm it.

"The nominal loss has not been confirmed," said Gatot.
