This Is The Road That Was Recovered During The People's Party And The Celebration Night For The 80th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared a traffic engineering scheme in the form of diverting several roads during the People's Party and Celebration Night of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
The People's Party will be held on Sunday 17 August 2025 starting from 12.00 to 16.00 WIB. Then, continued from 17.30 to 23.00 WIB.
Meanwhile, for the Celebration Night, the Ornamental Vehicle Carnival will be held through the Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat on the East side-Jalan MH. Thamrin on the East side-Jalan Jenderal Sudirman on the East side-Simpang Susun Semanggi section will take place from 19.30 to 23.00 WIB.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that nine roads will be diverted. The implementation is situational.

"There will be a diversion of traffic flow situational on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at 12.00 to 16.00 WIB and 17.30 to 23.00 WIB, as well as at 31 road locations from 18.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB," said Syafrin in his statement quoted on Saturday, August 16.
Road sections diverted during the People's Party include;
1. Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat;2. Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara;3. Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan;4. Jalan Budi Kemuliaan;5. Jalan MH. Thamrin (Simpang Patung Kuda s.d Simpang Kebon Sirih)6. Jalan Veteran I;7. Jalan Veteran II;8. Jalan Veteran III;9. Jalan Majapahit Timur (North Arah menuju Selatan).
With the traffic engineering, there are alternative routes that motorized vehicles can pass when traffic flow diversion is implemented during the People's Party, namely:
1. From the east (Pasar Senen) which will head to the west (Harmoni) can pass through Jalan Senen Raya-Jalan Kwini I-Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh-Jalan Kramat Kwitang-Putar Balik Barat-West-Jalan Kramat Kwitang-Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim-Tugu Tani-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral-Jalan Veteran, or can pass through Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan Budi Utomo-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara-Jalan Cathedral-Jalan Veteran and so on.
2. From the south (Cikini) which will go north (Pateran Street) can go through Jalan Menteng Raya-Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim-Tugu Tani-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral and so on.
3. From the north (Jalan Gunung Sahari) which will go south (Tugu Tani) can pass Dr. Sutomo Street-Senian Building Street-North Banteng Field Street- Cathedral Street-Paman Pejambon Street-Pejambon Street-Medan Merdeka Timur Street and so on.
4. From Jalan Batu III to the north (Harmoni) can pass Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Tani-Jalan MI Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral-Jalan Veteran and so on.
5. Traffic from the west (Tomang) which will go east (Pasar Senen) can go through Jalan Tomang Raya-Jalan Kyai Caringin-Balikpapan-Jalan Suryopranoto-Jalan Ir. Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Dr. Sutomo-Jalan Gunung Sahari and so on.

You can also go through Jalan HR Rasuna Said-Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and so on. It applies also in the opposite direction (North to the South).
2. Traffic from north to south is diverted via Jalan Ir. H. Juanda- Jalan Pos-Jalan Gedung Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara- Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Pejambon-Jalan MM Ridwan Rais towards Rasuna Said and so on.
You can also pass Jalan Gunung Sahari-Jalan Kramat Raya-Jalan Salemba-Jalan Proklamasi-Jalan Tambak-Jalan Prof. Dr. Sahardjo and so on.
3. Traffic from east (Jalan Batu) to west (Tanah Abang) can go through Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan M.I Ridwan Rais-rotating at Tugu Tani-Jalan M.I Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Veteran-Jalan Suryapranoto-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Cideng Timur-Jalan Fachrudin and so on. Valid also from the opposite direction (east to west).
4. Traffic from east (Pasar Senen) to west (Tomang Raya) can go through Jalan Kramat Kwitang-rotating in the west-west round of Jalan Kramat Kwitang-Tugu Tani-Jalan MM Ridwan Rais-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral-Jalan Veteran-Jalan Suryapranoto-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Kyai Caringin-Jalan Tomang Raya and beyond.
