JAKARTA Member of Commission IX DPR RI, Neng Eem Marhamah Zulha Hiz, appreciates the achievement of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program which has penetrated 20 million recipients since its launch in January 2025. Neng is optimistic that the target of 82.9 million MBG beneficiaries can be achieved by the end of 2025.
This was said by Neng Eem in response to President Prabowo Subianto's speech at the MPR RI Annual Session at the Parliament Complex, Friday, August 15, yesterday.
Neng Eem said the MBG Program was one of President Prabowo's most prominent flagship programs. However, he emphasized that continuous evaluation needs to be carried out so that the program continues to run according to the President's mandate.

MBG is President Prabowo's flagship cabinet program targeting school children, pregnant/breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers. Within seven months, this program has reached 20 million beneficiaries, an achievement that should be appreciated," Neng Eem told reporters, Saturday, August 16.
"We believe the year-end target is achieved, but evaluation is still needed to ensure the program is right on target," he continued.
The chairman of the PKB MPR RI faction also appreciated President Prabowo's statement acknowledging that there were still management challenges in the implementation of MBG. Starting from the construction of kitchens, supply chain management, to management training. The President emphasized the importance of improvements, especially related to complaint reports such as poisoning cases in a number of areas.
Related to this, the PKB faction legislator said that his party supports the implementation of MBG according to President Prabowo's vision to ensure that all residents, especially children and pregnant/breastfeeding mothers, have adequate access to nutrition.
"This program is a strategic step to overcome stunting, strengthen food security, and improve the health of the younger generation," said Neng Eem.
For information, until August 2025, 5,800 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) have been formed in 38 provinces, creating 290 thousand new jobs, and involving one million farmers, fishermen, breeders, and MSME actors.
"The implementation of MBG opens up job opportunities, drives the local economy, and requires the support of all parties to run according to the target," concluded Neng Eem.
