Involved In The Celebration Of Modern Indonesian Retail Day 2025, Lazada Wants To Realize An Inclusive Economy

JAKARTA - Lazada Indonesia, a pioneer of e-commerce in the country, also supports the celebration of the 2025 Modern Indonesia Retail Day (Harmoni) which is celebrated every August 15.

This year, Harmoni also carried the collaboration of the BINA HBD Indonesia national movement with a massive promo in shopping centers throughout Indonesia on August 15-31, 2025, starting from discounts of up to 80 percent, special prices of IDR 80,000, additional discounts of 8 percent to the "sebrity 8" program.

In the event, Lazada Indonesia supported the Commemoration of Modern Indonesia Retail Day with an omnichannel strategy that connects online and offline shopping.

Head of Government Affairs Lazada Indonesia Yovan said the collaboration helped business actors reach more consumers and encouraged Indonesia's economic growth to be inclusive and sustainable.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Shopping Center Retailer & Tenants Association (Hippindo) as the organizer targets that national transactions can reach IDR 30 trillion during the event.

Chairman of Hippindo Budihardjo Iduansjah emphasized that modern retail has a contribution of more than 50 percent to the national consumption sector.

"Retail is the backbone of the consumption sector as well as the locomotive of domestic economic drive, with a contribution of more than 50 percent to the national economy. Currently, modern retail market share is growing significantly compared to before," he said.

The peak of the 2025 Harmoni celebration will be held at the Harmoni Awards at Swissotel PIK, on August 27, to give appreciation to modern retailers who actively support MSMEs and carry out healthy business practices.

It is known that Harmoni 2025 also presents a Food SME Award assisted by the Ministry of Trade, partnering with Hero Supermarket to open wider market access for food SME products.

It didn't stop there, there was also the launch of the Sidaya Program with BKKBN which provided special discounts for senior residents 60 years and over.
