President Prabowo Subianto Wants The State Budget To Not Deficit Again
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that he wanted the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) to no longer be a deficit.
This was said in a speech delivered by the Draft State Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.
In the 2026 State Budget draft, the government allocates state expenditures of IDR 3,786.5 trillion, with a state revenue target of IDR 3,147.7 trillion.
The budget deficit was designed at IDR 638.8 trillion or 2.48 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), supported by prudent, innovative, and sustainable financing.
President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of courage and determination to eliminate budget leaks. President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that creative and innovative financing will be developed more massively by the government so that development financing does not only rely on the state budget.
The state budget, continued President Prabowo, must be designed flexibly to adapt to reduce global shocks, and maintain healthy and credible through optimizing income, strengthening spending quality, and financing innovation.
