Inequality In The 2026 Education Budget, MBG Rp335 Trillion But For Teachers Cs 178.7 Trillion

JAKARTA - The government has allocated at least IDR 757.8 trillion for the education budget in 2026. This budget aims to improve the quality of human resources.

Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani said, this fantastic budget will be divided into 3 categories, namely those that will be received by schools, students/students and teachers.

He detailed that the budget disbursed for schools/campu amounted to IDR 150 trillion which will be allocated to the People's School (SR) amounting to IDR 24.9 trillion, School Operational Assistance (BOS) of IDR 64.3 trillion for 53.6 million students and PAUD BOP of IDR 5.1 trillion for 7.7 million students.

"What students, students, and students receive, is IDR 401 trillion itself. In what form? Starting from the mission view scholarship, LPDP scholarships, sending for cards or Smart Indonesia programs, and also eating free nutritious food (MBG)," said Sri Mulyani at the RAPBN Press Conference and Financial Note for Fiscal Year 2026 at the DGT Office, Friday, August 15.

As for the details of the budget for Targeting Missions/KIP Lectures of IDR 17.2 trillion for 1.2 million students, LPDP scholarships of IDR 25 trillion for 4,000 students, the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) of IDR 15.6 trillion for 21.1 million students. Finally, the budget for President Prabowo Subianto's flagship program, Free Nutrition Food gets the largest allocation of IDR 335 trillion.

Finally, Sri Mulyani said that the budget for teachers, lecturers and education personnel was only budgeted at IDR 178.7 trillion.

If detailed, the non-civil servant's Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) budget is Rp. 19.2 trillion for 754,747 teachers, ASND TPG of Rp. 68.7 trillion, non-civil servant TPD of Rp. 3.2 trillion, and civil servant TPG, civil servant TPD and educator salaries of Rp. 82.9 trillion.

"TPD non-PNS education workers also get Rp3.2 trillion, lecturers, and civil servant lecturers in this case Rp82.9 trillion themselves. That's for the lecturers," said Sri Mulyani.
