Despite Being A New Player Status, Kevin Diks Gets An Important Role In Monchengladbach
JAKARTA - Kevin Diks is still a new player in Borussia Monchengladbach. Even so, he has won the trust to hold positions in the team.
The Indonesian national team player officially joined Monchengladbach at the beginning of this season. Diks came on a free transfer after his contract expired with FC Copenhagen.
Kevin Diks' presence in the team received equal appreciation from the coach, Gerardo Soane. In fact, the versatile defender was judged by the coach as a player with strong leadership.
Kevin Diks did not serve as captain of the team because the role would be carried out by the Kleindienst Team. However, Diks and warehousing Reitz, Nico Elvedi, and Philipp Sandler were selected as team councils.

"Of course we will often see these five players on the pitch, but the line-up will always depend on the sports aspect," Seoane said as quoted by Borussia.de on Friday, August 15, 2025.
This team board is a forum where players, coaches, or support staff gather to discuss various aspects, such as tactics, strategies, internal problems, or even off-field issues that affect team performance.
The decision of coach Monchengladbach to place Diks in the team council is not without basis. The reason is, while still strengthening FC Copenhagen, Diks is also one of the team's captains and is believed to be the executioner of the penalty kick even though he plays the center back.
