Government Budgets IDR 508.2 Trillion For Social Protection Throughout 2026
JAKARTA - The government has allocated a budget of IDR 508.2 trillion for social protection to improve community welfare and accelerate poverty alleviation.
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani detailed that this budget is divided into 4 utilization planning, among others, the first to fulfill the basic needs disbursed amounting to IDR 315.5 trillion
"For PKH 10 million, the recipient group received Rp28.7 trillion. The basic food card for Rp18.3 million for the recipient group is Rp43.8 trillion. For guaranteeing the loss of jobs is Rp1.2 trillion for 140 million participants," Sri Mulyani said at the RAPBN Press Conference and Financial Note for Fiscal Year 2026 at the DGT Office, Friday, August 15.
He continued, this category also includes energy subsidies of IDR 210 trillion, this non-energy subsidy of IDR 17.4 trillion, especially for various PSOs, transportation equipment and also for housing and water. Followed by the budget to Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) for villages of IDR 6.5 trillion and disaster management of IDR 7.9 trillion.

In the second category, the budget for the fulfillment of educational services is prepared at IDR 37.5 trillion which will be disbursed in the PIP, KIP, public schools.
For the category of fulfillment of health services, the state treasurer detailed that this budget will be allocated to recipients of the National Health Insurance Contribution Assistance (PBI JKN) amounting to Rp15.5 trillion for 96.8 million participants, then Non-Wage Recipient Workers (PBPU) and Non-Tax Workers (BP) Class III amounting to Rp2.5 trillion for 49.6 million participants.
Finally, the community empowerment category was prepared at Rp. 86.2 trillion which will be given to the KUR subsidy program of Rp. 36.5 trillion for 6.1 million debtors, and fertilizer subsidies of Rp. 49.7 trillion as much as 9.6 million tons.
