BYD Atto 2 Caught In NJKB, Here Are The Specifications And Predictions Of The Price

JAKARTA BYD Motor Indonesia is back in the spotlight after Atto 2's name appeared on the list of Motor Vehicle Selling Values (NJKB) on the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Regional Revenue site. This model is predicted to be the latest line that will enliven the electric car market in the country.

However, when will it launch? Head of Marketing, PR & Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther T. Panjaitan, explained that NJKB registration does not necessarily lead to product release.

"Registration of NJKB does not always mean that the product will be launched immediately. But indeed this must be done before its release, and is part of the product planning strategy," he said when met in Yogyakarta, Friday, August 15.

Although he has not been able to reveal details regarding Atto 2, Luther gave a positive signal that BYD will present a new model in the near future.

"What I can say is that in the near future we will bring new products again. But specifically it cannot be leaked yet," he added.

When asked about the possibility of launching this year, Luther remained informed. He only emphasized that the ranks of BYD products in Indonesia are now very complete.

"Currently, our EV line is the most complete, there are seven models. We don't want a product to be endsy with each other. For the launch time, we can't answer it now," he explained.

Based on NJKB data, there are two codes believed to be Atto 2. The first code, SC3E-ETD-1 (4x2) AT, was recorded at a value of IDR 281 million, and the second code, SC3E-STD-1 (4x2) AT, was valued at IDR 245 million.

In terms of specifications, BYD Atto 2 has a length dimension of 4,310 mm, a width of 1,830 mm, a height of 1,675 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,620 mm. This electric car uses a front wheel drive with a peak power of 177 PS and a torque of 290 Nm, supplied by a 51.13 kWh battery capable of traveling a distance of up to 410 km based on the NEDC standard.
