City Car EV Atto 1 Interested In Fleet Consumers, This Is What BYD Said
JAKARTA The affordable price offered by BYD for the latest model, Atto 1, immediately attracted market attention. Priced from Rp195 million to Rp235 million, this electric car is not only eyeed by private consumers, but also potential buyers from the business or fleet segment.
Head of Public & Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther Panjaitan, revealed that a number of parties began to look at Atto 1 for commercial needs.
"Currently we leave it entirely to the market mechanism. However, from SPK data, there are indeed some consumers who are interested in using Atto 1 for commercial purposes, such as ride-hailing Gocar or Grab services," he said when met in Yogyakarta, Friday, August 15.
In fact, said Luther, two online transportation giants "Grab and Gojek" have contacted BYD to discuss the possibility of supplying Atto 1 units.
"Grab and Gojek have indeed asked questions regarding the possibility of supply. We still refer to market responses, so we don't want to make excessive claims from now on," he added.

According to Luther, the two companies are now in the exploration stage to get to know more about BYD Atto 1 products before deciding on the next steps.
"The first shipment will only be done in October, so now the focus is on giving them the opportunity to understand this product more deeply," he explained.
Not only Atto 1, but the BYD M6 electric MPV model also managed to steal the attention of the fleet market. Grab has even ordered M6 units for its fleet, while Blue Bird also uses this electricity MPV in their operations.
