Drawing AFC Champions League Two Results: Persib In Group G With Bangkok United And Selangor

The draw for the AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2) 2025/2026 has been carried out. As a result, Persib Bandung, who became Indonesia's representative, was in Group G with three ASEAN clubs.

The draw for ACL 2 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Friday, August 15, 2025, at 14.00 WIB. Drawing was carried out by two former footballers, Mahmoud Abdurahman and Aleksander Duric.

Persib, who confirmed tickets to the ACL 2 finals this season by beating Maniladigger, was at Pot 4 when the draw took place.

ACL 2 separates the Asian West and East Asia zones. West and East Asian representatives will only meet in the final.

There are 32 teams participating in ACL 2, with details of West and East Asia both getting 16 clubs.

A total of 16 clubs in each zone are divided into four groups which will contain four teams. Each group contains one club from Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3, and Pot 4.

The results of the draw for ACL 2 ensured that Persib joined Group G with Bangkok United, Selangor, and Lion City Sailors.

Bangkok United is the runner-up club of the Thai League (Thai League 1) which also contains Indonesian players, Pratama Arhan. Meanwhile, Selangor is the runner-up of the Malaysian Super League and Lions City Sailors is the champion of the Singapore League and Singapore Cup. Last season Lions City also finished runner-up with ACL 2.

Persib will face each rival in home and away matches. In total, Maung Bandung will play six times in the group stage.

The ACL 2 group phase this season will take place from September 2025 to December 2025.

Last season, Persib failed to qualify from the group stage after only being caretaker and under Lion City Sailors, Port FC, and Zhejiang.
