JAKARTA - Google invested an additional USD 9 billion or approximately IDR 145.44 trillion in Oklahoma in the next two years in cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence (AI).

This investment will be used to support the development of a new data center campus in Stillwater and the expansion of existing facilities in Pryor, as well as the expansion of education programs and labor development.

This investment is part of Google's $1 billion commitment, disbursed on American education and competitiveness.

Two major universities in Oklahoma' University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University are included in the first group of Google AI for Education Accelerator program that just launched last week, by providing Sooners and Cowboys with free access to Google's Career Certificate and AI training courses.

"This program provides free access to students and the public for Google Career Certificates as well as AI training courses," Google wrote in an announcement on its official blog quoted Friday, August 15.

In addition, Google also provides funding for innovative programs from Electrical training ALLIANCE in providing electrical training to increase the number of workers in the electricity sector in Oklahoma to 135%.

This training program is expected to help develop the workforce needed to build new energy infrastructure.

"This investment will prepare Oklahoma students with critical AI and work-ready skills, and create a worker talent pipeline to power not only Oklahoma's future, but American AI leadership."
