Eastman Kodak was previously reported to be facing financial problems by CNN and CNBC. The company is known to warn its investors that it does not have a 'available commitment to financing or liquidity' to pay debt obligations.
Kodak is known to have a debt of 500 million US dollars or around Rp. 8.61 trillion. This condition raises concerns that the company will file for bankruptcy and stop its operations. However, Kodak denied these concerns.
Kodak stated that the reports circulating about the issue were inaccurate and misleading because they did not have an important context. Kodak also emphasized that they do not have a plan to go out of business.
"On the other hand, Kodak is confident that he will pay back, extend, or refinance his debt and preferencing shares on, or before, the due date," said Kodak, quoted on Friday, August 15.
After all transactions have been paid off, which is expected to happen next year, Kodak believes that they will have a stronger balance sheet. That way, Kodak will be able to survive for the next few years without having any debt.
