This Chinese Company Creates A Mini-SD In The Size Of A MicroSD Card
JAKARTA The average technology company develops large SSDs. However, a Chinese company will break down the market by introducing a very small SSD.
The company is known as Biwin. Launching from The Verge, Biwin introduced this Solid-State Drive (SSD) as 'Mini SSD' because of its unusual size. In fact, almost the size of a MicroSD card for a cellphone.
Although small, the speed offered remains much higher. This Mini SSD is known to measure 15mm x 17mm x 1,4mm, slightly larger than MicroSD. This SSD is able to reach a sequential reading speed of up to 3,700 megabitas per second.
The writing speed is no less high, which is around 3,400MB/dtk using the PCIe 4x2 connection. In comparison, this speed goes far beyond the latest MicroSD Express cards that can be found on devices like Nintendo Switch 2.
The MicroSD Express card usually only reaches 985MB/dtk speeds. That way, the Mini SSD made by Biwin is four times faster than the MicroSD Express. Interestingly, the capacity offered is also large.

Biwin said that this Mini SSD can be used in various types of devices, including laptops, tablets, cell phones, and cameras. Two portable gaming devices from China are known to have adopted the technology.
Both announced support for this SSD on the ChinaJoy show. The compatible devices are GPD Win 5 and OneXPlayer Super X. GPD Win 5 is a gaming laptop, while OneXPlayer Super X is a laptop or hybrid tablet from OneNetbook.
