IDR 300 Trillion Leaks! Puan Supports Prabowo To Act 1,063 Illegal Minings To Complete

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Puan Maharani, expressed her support for President Prabowo Subianto's statement which will bring order to 1,063 illegal mines throughout Indonesia. Puan is optimistic that President Prabowo can complete the discourse.

"Yes, of course, we are very optimistic about what is the spirit of President Prabowo. We are ready to support him," said Puan after chairing the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 15.

Previously, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto revealed that he had received a report that until now there were still 1,063 illegal mines in Indonesia. He also emphasized that he would control the mines that cost the state up to Rp300 trillion.

This was conveyed by Prabowo during a speech at the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI at the Parliament Complex, Friday, August 15.

To curb violations in the mining sector, President Prabowo asked for the support of the MPR and DPR RI as well as all political parties to help the government save the country's wealth.

"We support how everything can be implemented properly, that law enforcement and implementing Article 33 properly and in accordance with what is the spirit of the President we must support," said Puan.

Furthermore, Puan revealed the DPR's agenda after the DPR's Joint Session was over. Puan said that the DPR would hold an inaugural plenary meeting regarding the APBN report that would be submitted by President Prabowo.

"Alhamdulillah, for 299 days there have been many very positive things that the government has done. Therefore, later we will listen to the 2026 State Budget address," said Puan.

"Of course the hope will provide motivation, enthusiasm, and how we work together in building the nation in the future. More can be produced, more can be obtained by the people so that the nation and state are more prosperous," he continued.
