Mataram City Tax Target 2025 Increases To IDR 303 Billion

MATARAM - Mataram City Government, West Nusa Tenggara, raised the target of regional revenue by 2025 from the tax sector, from IDR 291 billion to IDR 303 billion.

"After a study of the potential tax revenue, our 2025 tax target increased Rp12 billion. From Rp291 billion to Rp303 billion," said Head of the Mataram City Regional Finance Agency (BKD) HM Ramayoga in Mataram, Antara, Friday, August 15.

Previously, the addition of the regional tax target was estimated to be only Rp. 2 billion. However, after seeing the trend of revenue, the two tax sectors were considered to have greater potential, namely restaurant taxes and customs for obtaining land and building rights (BPHTB).

For restaurant taxes, the target rose from IDR 40 billion to IDR 42 billion, while BPHTB increased significantly from IDR 30 billion to IDR 40 billion.

"We are targeting the two tax sectors to increase because the realization of revenue shows a positive trend," said Ramayoga.

He added that BPHTB acceptance was difficult to predict from the start because it depended on transactions. However, the trend of acceptance until early August 2025 was quite positive, so BKD dared to raise the target to Rp40 billion.

"As of early August, BPHTB receipts reached Rp. 21.5 billion or 71.90 percent of the previous target of Rp. 30 billion," he said.

According to him, the receipt of BPHTB does not only come from the purchase of new land, but also from the breakdown of citizen certificates, such as the distribution of inheritance.

Meanwhile, from the restaurant tax sector which was originally targeted at IDR 40 billion, the realization of revenue in the first semester of 2025 has reached IDR 26 billion or 65.23 percent.

"Many new restaurants have sprung up, and with busy visits, BKD is optimistic about raising targets. That's what motivates us to raise targets," said Ramayoga.

Head of the Mataram City BKD Collection and Counseling Service Division Ahmad Amrin said this target adjustment was part of the optimization of local revenue (PAD) which was continuously encouraged by the Mataram City Government.

"BKD is currently mapping tax sectors that have the potential to increase revenue contribution," he said.
