Speech At The Annual Session, Prabowo Calls The Transition Of Jokowi's Government The Smoothest In The World
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto delivered a speech at the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPRD RI which was held at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 15. Prabowo said that the transition from President Joko Widodo to his government was the fastest in the world.
"First, I will convey that President Joko Widodo's transition to national leadership to the government that I lead runs in the spirit of unity, full of honor and political maturity, the transition of leadership recognized by the world as a smooth and very good transition, is proof that our democracy is mature and strong," said Prabowo.
According to Prabowo, not all countries are able to make leadership transitions properly and smoothly like Indonesia.
"Everywhere when I am abroad, many leaders of friendly countries ask me, how did you do it? How did Indonesia manage? I told them we were successful because we adhered to Indonesia's distinctive democracy, a democracy that is cool democracy that unites not democracy that beats each other, cursing each other, blaspheming each other, not democracy that hate each other," he said.
Therefore, Prabowo invites all parties to uphold democracy. "Democracy inherited from ancestors is democracy that is in accordance with our culture, the culture of the family culture of gotong royong culture, the culture of mikodour dem jero, the culture of mutual filling, the culture of mutual support, the culture of teposliro, the culture of self-resilience, the culture that is Iso groupo is not a groupo iso," he said.
