The Independence Celebration At IKN Was Held For 3 Full Days
The Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) held a series of commemorations of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN) for 3 three days on August 15-17 with various activities ranging from planting mass trees, holy reflections, flag ceremonies, to people's parties.
"The 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN will be a momentum for historic warnings, as well as affirming the position of the archipelago as a symbol of national unity and progress," said Head of the Archipelago Capital Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono in the archipelago, quoted by ANTARA Friday, August 15.
The celebration of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day at IKN is also a tangible manifestation of the spirit of the 'world city for all', a city built for all Indonesian people, shared, and celebrated together.
Meanwhile, OIKN Spokesperson and OIKN Special Staff for Public Communication, Troy Pantouw, explained that the commemoration of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia at IKN is in line with the spirit of 'United Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia'.
The series of activities began on August 15, 2025, with the mass tree planting action in the IKN area by the extended family of OIKN employees, reflecting the commitment to environmental sustainability as well as welcoming the celebration of independence with concrete steps to protect the earth.
On August 16, a holy reflection will be held at Taman Kusuma Bangsa, to commemorate the services of the nation's heroes, offer prayers, and strengthen their determination to continue the struggle towards a more advanced and prosperous Indonesia.
The peak of the celebration will take place on August 17, which in the morning will be held the Red and White Flag Raising Ceremony Ceremony Ceremony Ceremony, Central Government Core Area, Nusantara, to be led by the Head of OIKN, carried out by the Heritage Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka).
This ceremony will close a special appearance from Twilite Orchestra under the leadership of Addie MS which is enlivened by a combination of students' choir at schools around IKN. In the afternoon, the lowering of the flag was also led by the Chief of OIKN.
In closing, the people's party will be held on the night of August 17, presenting the Padi Band as well as various cultural attractions and people's entertainment and dishes from a number of MSMEs will be held around the event location.
In addition to musical performances, people's parties will also be enlivened with entertainment events, special regional culinary offerings, and the distribution of prizes.

This event, which is open to the public and free, is equipped with an MSME title, so it is hoped that it will become a space for togetherness that strengthens relations between citizens and confirms a sense of pride as an Indonesian nation.
"To celebrate, OIKN invites around 3,500 guests, consisting of representatives of the community and local governments around IKN. Their presence is a symbol of collaboration and togetherness in celebrating independence in the center of Indonesia's new government," said Basuki.
