MPR Annual Session, Muzani Praises The Government's Firm Steps To Fight Corruption
JAKARTA - Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani supports the government in efforts to eradicate corrupt, collusion and nepotism practices.
"MPR appreciates the government's genuine efforts in taking firm action against corruption through law enforcement officers," said Muzani during a speech at the MPR Annual Session, Friday, August 15.
According to Muzani, corrupt practices are a bad gap that can injure the spirit of democracy in politics.
This practice, said Muzani, can injure the spirit of the nation's leaders in building the country towards better development.
He hopes that the democratic climate in Indonesia can be separated from the culture of corruption in order to maintain the spirit in building the nation.
Therefore, his party encourages the government, in this case law enforcement, to strengthen efforts to eradicate corruption.
"Corruption is a betrayal of the spirit of democrats that can damage the country's legitimacy and undermine the future," said Muzani.
