2,957 Personnel Deployed To Secure MPR Annual Session At The DPR/MPR Building

Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro said 2,957 personnel were deployed to secure the Annual Session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the DPR/MPR Building, Jakarta.

"This security is part of the state's task that must be carried out with full responsibility. All personnel in the field I ask to work with discipline, vigilance, and continue to prioritize a humanist attitude," said Susatyo, quoted by ANTARA, Friday morning.

According to him, strict security was implemented in the early hours of the morning and at 06.00 WIB before the submission of the 2026 State Revenue and Expenditure Budget Bill (RUU).

He explained that later, at 13.30 WIB, security was tightened again when President Prabowo Subianto delivered a speech to the 2026 State Budget Bill in the Plenary Meeting Room of the Nusantara Building MPR/DPR/DPD.

Apart from the President, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, the ranks of the Red and White Cabinet, as well as a number of representatives of friendly countries are also scheduled to attend the state agenda.

Susatyo added that as many as thousands of joint personnel from the National Police, the TNI, and the DKI Provincial Government were deployed to ensure that the entire series of MPR Annual Sessions run safely and in an orderly manner.

All security personnel on duty were not provided with firearms to maintain a conducive atmosphere and prioritize a humanist approach.

"The presence of members here is not only to maintain security, but also to maintain the honor of the nation," said Susatyo.
