Lucid Launches Gravity X Concept, Presents Offroad Capability In Luxury Electric SUVs

JAKARTA - luxury electric car manufacturer Lucid, today introduced their latest concept, Gravity X, which gives off-road touch to the Gravity electric SUV.

Lucid will showcase Gravity X at the Pebble Beach Concourses d'Elegance event which is part of Monterey Car Week, in the United States, this weekend.

It is still unclear whether the production version of Gravity X will be made soon. However, if you get a positive response from the public, it is not impossible that this concept will become a reality in the future.

"Lucid Gravity has redefined the limits of achieving an SUV without compromise. Lucid Gravity X's concept of developing these core principles is to explore new possibilities beyond the usual path, as well as showcase Lucid Gravity's extraordinary capabilities," said SVP Design and Brand at Lucid Derek Jenkins, quoted from the manufacturer's website, Friday, August 15.

Meanwhile, reportedlehs, Friday, August 15, this concept shows how Gravity can be converted into a more resilient vehicle and ready to explore rough terrain, as offroad modifications increase in SUVs.

Despite the concept's status, Gravity X displays some significant and realistic changes. Lucid, who calls the concept a "Gravity Cross," has redesigned the front and back of the car for a better approach angle and departure, allowing the vehicle to pass through the incline without damaging the bottom.

The increase in the off-road capability of Gravity X is also supported by several key features, including higher ground clearance, custom wheels wrapped in all-field tires, protective plates at the bottom of the body to protect vital components, crane hooks installed for emergency situations, to modular roof shelves equipped with crossbars, leed lights, storage boxes, and accessories seats.

This concept is based on the Gravity Grand Touring variant and theoretically offers the same specification powered 828 hp, estimated EPA distance of up to 724 km, and acceleration of 0-100 km/hour in 3.4 seconds. The interior retains three rows of seats like the standard version.

Lucid's rank, power, and flexibility make it an ideal vehicle for adventurers who want to explore the off-road terrain further," concluded Derek Jenkins.
