G-Dragon And Yang Hyun Suk Were Dragged Into Alleged Violations Of Copyright
JAKARTA - The name G-Dragon has been dragged into allegations of copyright infringement. The news is big news in South Korea, which is also linked to its former label, YG Entertainment.
The lawsuit was filed against GD and also Yang Hyun Suk, the main producer of YG. The agency's office was rumored to have been searched, but was eventually denied by the Korean Music Copyright Association (KOMCA).
The large number of cases stems from reports from a composer who accused YG and G-Dragon of reproducing their work without permission. It was a song called G-Dragon, released in 2001, which became a dispute.
In 2010 the BigBang leader made a remix of the song with a new version entitled My Age, Thirteen on the live concert album without including the composer's name.
Meanwhile YG Entertainment responded quickly to the allegations. They released an official statement, if that is not true.

"This incident stems from an artist who listed two songs with the same title on his solo show in 2009, and this is not a case of unlicensed album reproduction," YG Entertainment quoted The Korea Times as saying, August 14.
KOMCA sendiri memastikan jika sang pelapor tetap menjadi pemilik hak copyright atas lagu yang sedang diperkarakan. Mereka juga menyebut G-Dragon tak pernah mendapat royaltikan dari sana.
