PLTG In Cikarang Complains About Gas Supply Disorders From PGN And Pertamina EP

JAKARTA - PT Cikarang Listristindo Tbk. (POWR) complained that there was a disruption in gas supply from suppliers, PT Pertamina EP (PEP) and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS).

POWR's Corporate Secretary, Rani Maheswari Miraza, stated that this supply disruption occurred from two Pertamina, Pertamina EP and PGN subsidiaries.

According to him, based on the gas supply contract from these two companies, it will take effect from December 2029 and March 2035, respectively.

According to Rani, on August 5, an incident occurred and an unplanned shutdown occurred in the area of the Field Subang Collection Station operated by PEP.

"This condition has an impact on the supply of natural gas to all customers of the West Java PEP, including PT Cikarang Listristindo Tbk," he said in an information disclosure, Thursday, August 14.

On the other hand, Rani also said that POWR had received initial information from PGN on August 10 regarding the condition of decreasing pressure on gas distribution to the company.

Furthermore, on August 13, PGN delivered a subsequent official notice regarding the critical pressure problem on the South Sumatra West Java (SSWJ) network indicating a potential reduction in gas pressure supplied to the POWER-owned power plant.

"In response, we immediately took mitigation steps by utilizing other fuels to ensure that the energy needs of industry customers are met without interruption until the gas supply from PEP and PGN returns to normal," he said.
