Jakarta Firefighter Registration Closed, Pramono: Final Decision By Governor
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially closed the registration of DKI Jakarta firefighters (damkar) as of 16.00 WIB today.
DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung claims that the further selection process will be carried out by the DKI Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) in a transparent manner.
"I have given a special message from the Head of the Fire Department, this recruitment issue will be carried out openly. Later the final decision will be in the meeting which will be guided by the Governor, of course there are Deputy Governors and so on," said Pramono at Slipi Skatepark, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 14.
This year, the Gulkarmat Service opened fire department vacancies with a quota of 1,000 people. However, after the registration period was opened from Tuesday, August 12 to today, the number of registrants has reached 24 times the quota provided.
"Until 4 o'clock, the one who registered for the fire department, because I promised to update until the last is 24,405 people," said Pramono.
Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government officially opened the recruitment of DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) officers. Residents can start registering online or online via the www.jakarta.go.id/loop page. Then, open the registration page according to the intended city area.
Registration is valid for 3 days, from 12 to 14 August 2025. Then, the announcement of the results of the administrative evaluation on 15 August 2025.
Then, proof of registration documents and requirements on August 19-22 2025, and announcement of document proof on August 25.
Applicants who pass the administrative selection will undergo physical tests from August 26 to September 17, 2025.

Physical tests will be carried out by Kodam Jaya, located at Brigif 1/Jaya Sakti, Kalisari, East Jakarta. At this stage, applicants will undergo a physical fitness test A (run 12 minutes), freshness of Jasmani B (pull up, sit up, push up, shuttle run), posture (height and weight, body anatomy, appearance), and 25 meters of swimming.
After that, the DKI Gulkarmat Service will announce 1,000 applicants who passed the selection on September 18, 2025, followed by the signing of the work contract on October 1, 2025.
