Traffic Engineering Around The Palace During The Heritage Flag Carnival August 17th
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency has prepared a traffic engineering scheme for the implementation of the Heritage Flag Order in the context of the Heritage Flag Raising and Lowering Ceremony on the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia on August 17.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, revealed that there was a situational diversion of traffic flow on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Veteran I, Jalan Veteran II, Jalan Veteran III, and Jalan Majapahit on the east side (east direction to south).
"There will be a diversion of traffic flow situational on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 07.30 to 12.00 WIB and 16.00 to 17.30 WIB," explained Syafrin in his statement, Thursday, August 14.
During the Heritage Flag Order, Transjakarta Bus operations that intersect with activity locations will also be changed operating patterns and modified situational trajectories.

Then, there are alternative routes that motorized vehicle users can pass when traffic diversion is implemented, namely:
1. Veteran I Street, Veteran II Street, Veteran III Street, East Majapahit Street, Medan Merdeka Barat Street, Medan Merdeka Utara Street and the intersection between Medan Merdeka Timur Street and Medan Merdeka Utara Street are closed for motorized vehicles.
The Transjakarta Bus route through Jalan Majapahit-Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat on the East side and Jalan Veteran 3-Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara on the south side is diverted via Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Suryopranoto-Jalan Balikpapan-Jalan Cideng-and so on.
2. The traffic flow from Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur (from the south/Tugu Tani) which will head west (Harmoni) is diverted to Jalan Perwira-Jalan Cathedral-Palan Veteran-Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-and so on.
3. The traffic flow from the north (Lyam Wuruk Street/City) which will go south (Blok M) is diverted through Jalan Ir. H. Juanda - Jalan Pos-Jalan Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara - Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat - Jalan Taman Penjambon - Jalan Penjambon - Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-and so on.
4. The traffic flow from the direction of Jalan Ir H. Juanda which will go to the South (Blok M) is diverted through Jalan Suryapranoto-Jalan Tomang Raya-Jalan S Parman-Jalan Gatot
Subroto-and so on.
5. The traffic flow from Jalan Tomang Raya/Jalan Suryopranoto which will go south (Blok M) is diverted through Jalan Ir. H. Juanda-Jalan Pos-Jalan Gedung Kesenian-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Utara-Jalan Lapangan Banteng Barat-Jalan Taman Pejambon-Jalan Penjambon-Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur-and so on.
6. The traffic flow from the south (Blok M) to the north (Harmoni) is diverted through Jalan Budi Kemuliaan-Jalan Abdul Muis-Jalan Majapahit on the West- and so on.
