The Minister Of Home Affairs Admits That He Has Reprimanded The Regent Of Sadewo About The PBB Pati Up 250 Percent
JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian revealed that he had directly reprimanded Regent Pati Sudewo regarding the Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB-P2) in Pati up to 250 percent.
"I immediately called the Regent of Pati (Sudewo), the Governor of Central Java (Ahmad Luthfi). I asked why the mechanism was like that," he said when met in North Jakarta, Thursday, was confiscated by Antara.
He admitted that he also asked whether the policy had been taken into account or not. In the end, the policy was revoked by the Regent of Pati.
The former National Police Chief revealed that his party was investigating the increase in the UN because the regulations from the regent regarding the selling value of tax objects (NJOP) and the United Nations did not reach the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
"So the regional regulations are made by the DPRD, but are general in nature and determine the rates by districts and cities. The determination of the NJOP and UN figures is determined by the regent and mayor by consultation. The one who reviewed is the governor. So, it didn't reach me, but to the governor," he said.
Therefore, said Tito, this afternoon his party will hold an online meeting with all regional heads to identify which areas experienced an increase in the UN.
"This must really see one of the clauses of the Law on Financial Relations between the Central Government and the Regional Government (UU HKPD) that every regional policy that is budgeted, for example taxes and levies, must have a socialization process. Second, take into account the impact and economic capabilities of the community. This is what we value," he said.
