AION UT Achieves The Most Driver EV Title, What Are Its Attractiveness?
JAKARTA - GAC Indonesia's newest car, AION UT, managed to record a brilliant achievement at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025. This electric SUV was officially named the Most Driver EV thanks to the high enthusiasm of visitors who were scrambling to try it in the test drive area.
In fact, from the data received, 2,453 people have tested AION UT directly and felt the sensation of driving for themselves. This extraordinary amount is validation of Indonesia's market interest in electric cars with a combination of technology, performance, and comfort.
Along with this award, the position of AION UT is getting stronger as a pioneer of electric vehicles that not only exhibit futuristic features, but also answers the expectations of today's riders who offer complete, powerful, practical, and comfortable packages.

In specifications, AION UT carries a 150 kW electric motor (equivalent to 201 hp) with an instant torque 210 Nm, creating a responsive acceleration in all conditions. Designed by Stephane Janin from the GAC Advanced Design Center Europe, this electric car can shoot up from 0100 km/h within 7.3 seconds of the time record that makes it superior in its class.
Not only about acceleration, but the efficiency of the AION UT battery is also impressive. With a battery with a capacity of 60 kWh, this sophisticated electric car is able to explore up to 500 km in one full charge, making it suitable for active users who need long-distance mobility without worrying.
The entertainment center is located on a high-resolution 14.6-inch touchscreen, the largest in its class, and an 8.8-inch LCD screen on the cluster instrument. Its visual quality is comparable to that of a flagship tablet, supporting applications like Spotify and Wireless connectivity Apple CarPlay. Meanwhile, support for Android Auto will also come soon when the car is received.
Indonesian consumers can now preorder AION UT Standard, which costs below IDR 330 million and Premium types slightly above that price.
