Persib Bandung Qualifies For ACL 2, Bojan Hodak Is Still Not Satisfied
JAKARTA - Persib Bandung managed to qualify for the final round of the AFC Champions League Two (ACL 2) after a 2-1 win over Maniladigger at the Gelora Bandung Stadium, Lautan Api, Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Even so, Bojan Hodak as the coach admitted that he was still not satisfied.
In that match, Persib took a 1-0 lead over Maniladigger in the 38th minute through the opposing goalkeeper Michel Asong's own goal.
Maniladigger then scored a return goal in the 66th minute through Modou Joof's header which took advantage of a free-kick. Luckily, Maung Bandung had Uiliam Barros who scored the winner in the 73rd minute.
This result ensures that Persib passes to the final round of ACL 2. Even though he will appear on the continental stage, Bojan Hodak is not satisfied with the appearance of his team.

"A very difficult match. We can see that we are not optimal in this match. We all know we have quite a meeting schedule, within 11 days playing three quite tough matches," Hodak was quoted as saying on the club's website on Thursday, August 14, 2025.
In addition, Bojan Hodak still gave his appreciation for the performances of Persib foreign players, especially the trio in the back line which was considered to be solid.
"Our three defenders (Julio Cesar, Patricio Matricardi, and Frans Putros) played well. Lucho (Luciano Guaychocea) played very well."
"Berguinho and Wiliam (Marcilio) were slightly injured. However, Wiliam was able to play better in the second half. So, I don't think both of them are at the top level yet," said Hodak.
The Croatian coach is also pleased with Barros' goal as the determinant of the Blue Prince's victory.
