Nova Eliza Experiences Panic Attack And Trauma When Filming A Dikrafani Scene In An Original Grave Hole

JAKARTA - Actress Nova Eliza shared her very challenging shooting experience and left trauma when she was involved in the latest horror film, Mama: Message from Hell.

He revealed that the scene was understood and put into the original grave made him experience panic attack.

The long and physically demanding shooting process is one of the main challenges. Nova had to wear a pocong costume while his co-star, Andy /rif, had to wear a special contact lens.

"It was shooting for hours, coincidentally, I think it was the shortest one. And there is a grave if I have to wear a pocong shirt, you (Andy Rif) have to wear a softlens, so what happens," Nova Eliza said in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, August 13.

Even though he had panicked, he realized that this was a professional responsibility that he had to live with.

"So yes, what is the name that must be carried out and in my opinion, I can't run away from responsibility, I just run it even though I had a panic attack," he continued.

The moment he had to wear a complete cloth became a deep spiritual experience for him, as a reminder of death.

"(When the scene used fire) Just remember God, because it seems like a reminder, isn't it?" said Nova Eliza.

The difficulty grew even more when he had to use cotton on his nose and hold his breath during shooting, without knowing how long the scene would take.

"What's called cotton because it's uncomfortable, so when you use cotton it's already said to take action, you have to hold your breath, so we can't guess how long it will take," he said.

To overcome panic, Nova admitted that she had to interact with herself, trying to calm the mind so as not to get carried away by the tense atmosphere.

"So what are our co-stars playing, we have to interact if I interact with myself because what do we have to do to calm the mind, so that we don't panic attack and don't think about it far away," he said.

The highlight of this challenging experience is when he has to get into the original and very narrow grave, complete with the closing board. It was this very realistic scene that eventually left a deep trauma for him.

"At that time, Callista was in the grave set, yes, I had a panic attack. Well, it's been through those times. And it's really small (the grave hole) and using the signs is really real, that's why I'm quite traumatized," concluded Nova Eliza.

Mama: Messages from Hell will star Callista Arum, Raihan Khan, Hannah Al Rasyid, to Andy Rif and ready to air on September 11.
