Dedi Mulyadi Supports 100 Percent Of Pangandaran Residents Reject Floating Net Cages

PANGANDARAN - West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi expressed 100 percent support to the people of Pangandaran Regency who refused the existence of floating net cages (KJA) on the East Coast of Pangandaran because their existence disrupted the activities of fishermen and the tourism sector.

Governor Dedi Mulyadi's statement was delivered during a video call with former Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti during a public declaration against KJA which was held at the Susi Air Beach Strip Pangandaran, last Wednesday.

Susi reiterated the Governor's statement to the Pangandaran community who were present from various related Pangandaran community organizations or communities ready to support the community in the rejection action.

"Normally, 100 percent zero," said Susi reiterating the governor's statement in front of the Pangandaran community.

The statement was greeted by screams from the masses while expressing the words "Mr Aing" as their confession for the governor's support.

Susi firmly stated that together with the community, she rejected the presence of KJA on the East Coast of Pangandaran and asked the central government to revoke or not continue with her permit.

He explained that the East Coast area is a conservation area where there should be no activities other than tourism and fisheries traditionally.

"It's a conservation area, there should be no other activities," he said.

Apart from Susi, the Regent of Pangandaran Citra Pitriyami has also conveyed to the Governor of West Java regarding the aspirations of the Pangandaran community regarding the refusal of KJA on the East Coast of Pangandaran.

The governor, said Citra, stated that he was ready together with the Pangandaran community if the presence of KJA on the East Coast of Pangandaran interfered with and harmed the community.

"I have met him, I have gone to KDM (Kang Dedi Mulyadi), have conveyed what is the problem of KJA in Pangandaran, and at that time he was ready, I am ready if it is disturbing," said Citra.
