Bulog Boss Ensures Distribution Of Rice Food Aid Completed In August 2025

JAKARTA - President Director of Perum Bulog Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani ensured that the distribution of rice food aid would be completed this month. Currently, he said, the total distribution of food aid rice has reached 332,000 tons.

Furthermore, Rizal said, this figure is equivalent to 91 percent of the total distribution target which reaches 365,500 tons.

Meanwhile, Perum Bulog received an assignment to distribute 10 kilograms of food aid (kg) for the period June and July 2025. This rice food aid is one of the economic stimulus packages for the second quarter of 2025.

"The realization is now 91 percent. As of today, I have recorded 332,654 tons. So, it has reached 91 percent. Yes, it must be completed this August (distribution)," he said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Wednesday, August 13.

Rizal admitted that there were obstacles in the distribution of this rice food aid, especially in disadvantaged, outermost, frontier (3T) areas.

"On average, yes, this is the one on the front islands, which need special accommodation, like that," he said.

For your information, the government has disbursed 10 kg of rice food assistance for the period June and July 2025. This program targets 18.3 million beneficiary families (KMP).

Previously, the Director of the Supply Chain and Public Service of Perum Bulog, Suyamto, reported the company's current position in procurement and rice stocks. He said the rice stock in Bulog's warehouse reached 3.9 million tons.

"The total stock per day is 3.9 million tons. In detail, the Government Rice Reserve rice stock (CBP) is 3,934,000 tons and commercial stock is 12,545 tons," said Suyamto in an inflation meeting quoted from the Ministry of Home Affairs' YouTube, Monday, August 11.

Regarding procurement, Suyamto said that the total dry rice harvested into Bulog's warehouse reached 3.8 million tons, while rice procurement was 227,000 tons.

Furthermore, Suyamto said Bulog was also still continuing procurement even though its volume began to decline. "Currently, the average daily procurement is around 7,000 tons," he said.

In addition, Suyamto also revealed that from the assignment of distributing 365,000 tons of food aid, Bulog had distributed 351,093 tons or 89 percent.

Meanwhile, the SPHP (Food Supply and Price Stability) program was recorded at 16,000 tons. Other distributions, including assistance for natural disasters, CBBD (Emergency Rice Institution), and ASN in the eastern region, reached 61,467 tons," he said.

Suyamto also said that since July until now, the CBP stock issued for price stabilization has penetrated more than 429,000 tons.

"So we report that during the July period until now, the amount of CBP stock we spent on price stabilization has reached 429,302 tons," he said.
