Denies Conducting Suspicion, Apple Cinemas Ready To Face Apple's Lawsuit

JAKARTA Apple Cinemas, an independent cinema network that has been established since 2013, has responded to a lawsuit filed by Apple. The company is committed to defending its rights.

Some time ago, Apple filed a trademark lawsuit. In its lawsuit, the technology company led by Tim Cook accused Apple Cinemas and its owner, Sand Media, of using the brand they have developed since 1976.

This lawsuit was filed after the cinema carried out massive business expansion across the United States. Although Apple Cinemas has only been around for 12 years, the company has denied taking advantage of Apple's big name.

In a statement, citing from MacRumors, Apple Cinemas is committed to defending their identity. According to the cinema network, their names 'reflect our origins' planned at Apple Valley Mall in New England.

"Our name reflects our geographic origin and is never meant to imply, or used to imply, any affiliation with their brand," Apple Cinemas said in a statement.

The cinema company insists that it has complied with all applicable trademark laws.

They also denied Apple's claims about consumer confusion on the grounds that Apple Cinemas' branding was clearly different.

Apple Cinemas stated that they remain focused on developing business and brands in good faith. They have been operating with the name for more than a decade. This proves that Apple Cinemas has good intentions in building brands.
