Ukrainian Drone Attack Triggers Fire At Russian Slavyansk Oil Refinery
JAKARTA - A small fire triggered by the wreckage of a destroyed drone occurred at the Slavyansk oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, Russia.
Russian air defense units destroyed 46 Ukrainian drones overnight, Russia's Defense Ministry said via Telegram, including five drones in the Krasnodar region. The ministry only reported the number of drones that crashed, not the number launched by Ukraine.
"No casualties have been reported," the government said in a statement via the Telegram messaging application.
"The fire was immediately extinguished. The emergency response team and special services were working at the scene," he continued.
One car caught fire at the refinery. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report.
There has been no immediate statement from Ukraine, which states that its attack on Russia aims to destroy key infrastructure for Moscow's war efforts, including energy facilities.
