The Drama Of Arresting 11 Vietnamese Foreigners At The PIK Beauty Clinic, The Door Is Locked To Escape To The Roof Of The Building
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Immigration deported 11 foreign nationals (WNA) from Vietnam for violating the stay permit rules. They were arrested during an immigration surveillance operation at a beauty clinic at Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta, last Saturday, August 9.
Eight people were deported on Monday, August 11. While the other three followed on Tuesday.
Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said that the beauty clinic had been uncooperative before officers arrested the foreigner.
"We found allegations of immigration violations at the clinic at PIK. The clinic claims that no foreigners work there, even though the team found 11 foreigners from Vietnam who were suspected of abusing their residence permits," said Yuldi in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, August 13.
The Team of the Directorate of Immigration Supervision and Enforcement (Wasdakim) is divided into two teams. The first team searched two clinics in Central Jakarta, while the second team targeted beauty clinics at PIK.
In Central Jakarta, officers found a number of foreign workers from Vietnam, but there was no indication of a violation of residence permit. On the other hand, at the PIK clinic, 11 Vietnamese foreigners were found who were indicated to have abused their residence permit, as well as a passport with the initials NTH without the owner.
In the security process, Indonesian clinical staff had locked the room so officers had to forcibly open access. A Vietnamese citizen also tried to lock the door of the examination room and hide on the roof of the building.
After being arrested, 11 Vietnamese citizens and an Indonesian citizen were taken to the office of the Directorate General of Immigration for further investigation. The results of the examination decided that they were subject to immigration administrative action in the form of deportation.
