Eddie Van Halen Iconist Guitar Auctioned, Predicted To Touch 3 Million Dollars

JAKARTA - The guitar Kramer belonging to the late Eddie Van Halen will soon be auctioned off. It is said that the price of this guitar will reach 2 million dollars.

Produced in 1982, this instrument was used by Eddie on the Van Halen tour in 1982-1983. The guitar design is made with black and white stripes, following his very distinctive Frankestrat style.

It is planned that the auction process will be held in New York via Sotheby on Grails Week, October 21-28. According to the auction organizers, Eddie had time to visit Kramer's factory to modify the guitar.

In his era, the guitar was advertised by Eddie who called this guitar the best instrument that could be purchased.

After being toured, the Kramer guitar was awarded to Robin 'Rudy' Leiren, which he then sold to Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars. He was played on the album Dr. Feelgood released 1989.

Sotheby estimates the price of this historic guitar ranges from 2 to 3 million dollars. Kramer 1982 became the Eddie instrument to be auctioned after the signature guitar on MV Hot For Teacher which sold 3.9 million dollars in 2024.
