After Trolls, Warner Bros. Releases Digital Film Scoob!
JAKARTA - After seeing the success of Trolls: World Tour on the internet, it seems that the production house is starting to consider releasing the film digitally. Warner Bros. announced that on Tuesday, April 21, they will officially release Scoob! digitally for America and Canada on May 15th.
Scoob !, Scooby Doo's first fully animated film follows the Blue Falcon (Mark Wahlberg) who recruits Shaggy (Will Forte) and Scooby (Frank Welker) to thwart Dick Dastardly (Jason Isaacs) from a dogpocalypse. Shaggy and Scooby also invite other Scooby gangs, namely Freddie, Daphne, Velma to solve this problem.
Like Trolls: World Tour, Scoob! available for rent for 48 hours via Premium Video on Demand for US $ 19.99. The Tony Cervone-directed film chose the same release date as a theatrical release date which unfortunately had to be canceled.
The closure of a number of theaters due to the corona virus or COVID-19 pandemic is the main reason Warner Bros. chooses to release Scoob! digitally. The uncertain situation has cast doubt on cinemas from returning to operations even though last week US President Donald Trump announced that cinemas would be allowed to resume business in the near future.

According to Trump, the cinema is an inexpensive and salable entertainment option compared to sporting events. With this, the US economic growth is expected to increase with the opening of theaters. However, cinemas doubt if they have to open a business in the midst of the pandemic. It seems that releasing a film amidst the crowd of COVID-19 will not pass a film into the box office.
Warner Bros. CEO, Ann Sarnoff, said Warner Bros. thought of many ways on how they could distribute their content. Warner Bros. must think creatively and adaptively in the midst of a pandemic to find new ways but still reap the benefits.
Scoob! filled by Will Forte, Mark Wahlberg, Jason Isaacs, Gina Rodriguez, Zac Efron, Amanda Seyfried, Kiersey Clemons, Ken Jeong, Tracy Morgan, and Frank Welker. Among a number of names, only Welker is an old player while the rest is filled by new actors and actresses.
Working since 2008, the film Scoob! will be a reunion with fans who are looking forward to the adult version of the Scooby gang. This film is also Cervone's 'love letter' to California by presenting Venice Beach like Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse which represents New York.
Scoob! Tony Cervone's work can be watched digitally starting May 15 through a legal streaming service.
