Unlike Rano Karno's Claim, The DKI DPRD Received A Rice Stock Report At The Menipis Food Station Warehouse

JAKARTA - Member of Commission B of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, M. Taufik Zoelkifli, admitted that he received a report from the DKI Provincial Government that the rice stock stored in PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya's warehouse was running low.

The depletion of rice reserves belonging to the DKI Provincial Government has resulted in the sealing of the grain processing machine into rice by the authorities. This sealing is related to the case of mixed rice that dragged the Food Station.

"If this is more than a week ( Sealed), it seems that there will indeed be problems in the supply of rice in Jakarta," Taufik said when contacted, Wednesday, August 13.

Based on the DKI Provincial Government's report to the DPRD, the Food Station rice stock is estimated to be only available for the next week. Meanwhile, the DKI Provincial Government has encountered problems in processing rice due to engine sealing.

"They also talked yesterday to Commission B that they were going to remove new rice. However, then it was hampered that the engine could not be used because it was still sealed," said Taufik.

Therefore, Taufik encouraged the DKI Provincial Government to immediately coordinate with the Ministry of Agriculture to propose re-operation of sealed mesings.

Previously, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno claimed that rice stocks in Jakarta are currently under control, even though the BUMD food management in Jakarta has been dragged into legal cases recently.

"(The rice stock) has no problem. It is safe, safe," said Rano at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, August 12.
