Apple Responds To Elon Musk's Accusations Regarding Grok Application Discrimination On App Store

JAKARTA - Apple has finally responded to the criticism of billionaire Elon Musk accusing the Cupertino-based company of being unfair in placing app ratings in the app store, and prioritizing OpenAI over Grok.

In an official statement, an Apple spokesperson confirmed that they are ranking all apps fairly in their stores.

"We present thousands of applications through charts, algorithmic recommendations, and a list of curation selected by experts using objective criteria," an emailed spokesperson told Bloomberg.

The tech giant also stressed its commitment to user security while providing fair growth space for application developers, amid the rapid development of the technology sector, including AI.

"Our goal is to offer users safe discoveries and valuable opportunities for developers, collaborating with many parties to improve application visibility in a rapidly growing category," he added.

This statement came after previously, Musk through platform X accused Apple of committing a violation by "making it impossible for AI companies other than OpenAI" to occupy the number one position on the App Store.

He claims that his AI chatbot is smarter than the others. The xAI founder also said that his party would immediately take legal steps on the alleged practice.

Grok is the coolest in the world in the toughest test and is almost the first in coding, but is not mentioned at all in Apple's "Al" category, Musk wrote on X.
